Kids St. Phillips Island Adventure

NO PARENTS ALLOWED ON THIS FUN DAY TRIP

For kids ages 8-12 , this boat ecotour and island adventure is offered on teacher workdays and school holidays throughout the year.

FUN IN THE OUTDOORS

We’re heading out to St. Phillips Island for an adventure with our Coastal Expeditions educators leading the way! It’s a chance for unfettered exploration and play on a wild barrier island.

CASTAWAYS FOR A DAY

Once we arrive at St. Phillips, we hike the inland trails through the island to the beach.

Along the way, kids will learn about native plants, the different habitats on the island, and look for birds, fox squirrels, deer and other wildlife.

Kids thrive outdoors, and this trip gives them the opportunity to forge meaningful connections with nature. Your kids will be windswept and smiling when you pick them up at the landing.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR AND BRING?

Pack a small backpack with filled water bottle, bagged lunch/snacks, insect repellant and sunscreen.

They will need to dress for the weather. We recommend good walking shoes (not flip flops) and hat. We recommend layering with long pants/shirt for sun & mosquito protection!

DO YOU CANCEL IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

If the forecast looks unsuitable for a fun & safe day on the island, we’ll contact your via email and/or text as soon as possible and you will get a full refund.

WHAT ARE COASTAL EXPEDITIONS’ SAFETY CREDENTIALS?

Coastal Expeditions is the trusted local outfitter for US Fish & Wildlife Service, SC State Parks, REI Adventures, Backroads International, Linblad Expeditions, Clemson University Camps and other groups. Over the last 30 years, we’ve worked hard to create a well-developed education program of camps, after school programs and field trips that connects students with the outdoors in meaningful ways.

Throughout the year, Coastal Expeditions guides participate in continuing education and safety certifications like CPR, first aid, life guard training, ACA kayak training and other programs to ensure that our field trips are safely run.
