“Kids thrive outdoors. We don’t need research to tell us that spending time outdoors is good for us. However, we love that research now supports what we’ve known for a long time. There is growing evidence that spending time in natural environments positively affects children. When children spend time in nature, they are happier, calmer, and more focused.”

Coastal Expeditions is the trusted local outfitter for US Fish & Wildlife Service, SC State Parks, REI Adventures, Backroads International, Linblad Expeditions, Clemson University Camps and other groups. Over the last 30 years, we’ve worked hard to create a well-developed education program of camps, after school programs and field trips that connects students with the outdoors in meaningful ways.
